Meet the Artist

Kayleen is an illustrator who lives in Orem, Utah, with her husband and cat. Like some neurodivergent people, she’s been interested in many forms of art for her whole life, including animation, choir music, tap dancing (also ballet, jazz, lyrical, and modern dance), and of course drawing.

She was raised in the green farm lands of Lancaster, Pennsylvania until her family moved to Utah Valley when she was in high school. She is also religious, a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

She loves learning new things about the world, and exploring imaginary worlds, especially fairytale re-imaginings. Most importantly, she believes that the world is a better place when you show love and kindness and expect the best in people. She hopes to illustrate stories that share those beliefs with children through picture books.
